I help women navigate the complex terrain of becoming a mother, manage the unique issues related to early motherhood, and move through the challenges of recovering from postnatal depletion, mood and anxiety disorders. My aim is to help mamas thrive and have a happy and healthy early motherhood experience.
Psychotherapy and counseling
I work with various issues affecting mamas and mamas-to-be. These include (but are not limited to) depression and anxiety, distress, feeling overwhelmed, low confidence and self-esteem, relationship difficulties, anger and rage, uncertainties around work and career, guilt and shame, difficulty bonding with baby, and poor self-image. I also work with issues around identity and adjustment to motherhood, and personal growth.
I approach my work with clients through a “holistic lens” and believe that in order to be healthy, happy and thriving, attention needs to be given to the interactions between biological, psychological, and social factors.
I am trained in a number of therapeutic modalities, which I integrate depending on each client’s unique needs. These include:
· psychodynamic relational work
· insight-focussed therapy
· cognitive behavioural therapy
· solution-focused therapy
· coaching psychology
